Cottage in Wagoner, OK
0 miles from Fort Gibson Lake
Go back in time and experience lake living the way it use to be. Our cozy 1950's cottage has the original exterior with modern updates inside. The cottage is situated along a private lane, nestled below a bluff and surrounded by lush woods. Take in the magnificent views of Fort Gibson Lake and see sunrises that will take your breath away! Enjoy nearby marinas that offer public boat launches, boat and kayak rentals, swim beach areas, golf, horseback riding, hiking and more. The cottage has been updated inside with granite counter tops and stainless steel kitchen appliances, tiled through out and comfortable bedding. Cable or satellite isn't available at our secluded location but you can receive local channels. Also for your entertainment enjoyment, there is a Blueray player and several DVD's. There are also TVs and DVD players in both bedrooms. The cottage comfortably sleeps 4 but there is an additional twin size air bed and sofa to accommodate a total of 6 people. All bedroom and airbed linens are provided. The lake and surrounding area provide an abundance of recreational and cultural opportunities. Cypress Cove Marina is a short drive away with daily boat and kayak rentals. Boat launch ramps and slip rentals are available. Enjoy the roped off swim beach or eat at the Giggle Fish Grill while listening to live music on the outdoor patio. Nearby Sequoyah State Park has a swim beach, hiking trails, golf course and guided horse trail rides. Tahlequah, the Cherokee Nation Capital, is a 30 minute drive away. Visit a 1710 Cherokee Village, Cherokee Heritage Center and Murrell Home. Enjoy the many great restaurants in town. The best Cajun this side of the Mississippi is at Lenny Breaux's. The fried catfish smothered in Eutoffee is to die for! Perhaps you need a retreat and time to recharge your battery. There is no better place to get lost in a book, take a stroll along the lane, meditate or just chill. You can enjoy watching the many species of birds and the abundant wildlife that is in the area. The kitchen is complete with all the cooking utensils you will need to make a great meal. There is also a charcoal grill for outdoor cooking. There are large grocery stores in close by Muskogee and Wagoner. We are so happy to share our little cottage and slice of heaven with you. We hope you get as much enjoyment from it as we have. Our home is your home and we want to make your stay as comfortable as possible. Suitability: Children are welcome (though young children will need close supervision because of the rocky terrain), non-smoking only, small pets negotiable, not wheelchair accessible. The private road has a couple of steep hills that may be difficult for vehicles pulling a boat or trailer. Please let us know if you will be bringing either as there is no parking available for boats or trailers. There is a boat ramp tram that is not operational at this time. We hope to have that up and running soon. Please be careful if going to the waters edge. It's a little precarious with loose rocks along the slope. It's a great place for children to enjoy nature but just keep an eye out for their safety.

My place is close to great views, family-friendly activities, and the beach. You’ll love my place because of the ambiance, the outdoors space, the location, and the views. My place is good for couples, solo adventurers, families (with kids), and big groups. Get away from it all in our secluded, charming lakeside cabin! The Cabin is situated just between Jackson Bay Recreation Area and Cypress Cove Marina. This spacious home has two bedrooms downstairs and a large loft upstairs. It is located on a private road and overlooks Fort Gibson Lake. Sit on the front porch and take in sights and sounds of the lake. A large patio sits aside the firepit - perfect for barbecuing and picnicking. You will have a perfect view from the deck to watch the gorgeous sunrise - close enough to the water to hear the fish splashing and watch the boats pass by. And because good food is a part of any great vacation, The Lakeside Cottage is furnished with charcoal grill for outdoor barbecues. The kitchen is equipped with a full-size refrigerator; range; dishwasher; microwave; coffee maker (as well as coffee, sugar and creamer); toaster; pots; pans; dishes; flatware; dining ware; essential spices; towels - everything you need to prepare a home-cooked meal away from home. Enjoy breakfast or lunch on the water at the Gigglefish Diner only minutes away in Cypress Cove Marina, or make the 12-mile drive into Muskogee to the south or Wagoner to the north for countless dining options. Gather around the fire pit to roast hot dogs or marshmallows (and storytelling!). Fresh linens/towels for bedrooms and the bathroom are provided. Five public boat launch ramps are within two miles for easy access to the water. Cypress Cove Marina is a full-service marina located only two miles away and includes a roped off swimming area. Sequoyah State Park is located across the lake and offers golf, horseback riding, miles of bike trails and Three Forks Nature Center. Make the short drive into Muskogee for shopping, dining, parks and the Five Civilized Tribes Museum. Take a day trip to historic Tahlequah, only 45 minutes away and located at the foothills of the Ozark Mountains, to experience a float trip down the Illinois River. Be sure to check out Seminary Hall on the campus of Northeastern State University - an historical treasure worth visiting! Come and enjoy all the lake has to offer and be at peace with the sites and sounds of nature. Cabin (1200 sq. ft.) in Park Hill, OK
18.3 miles from Fort Gibson Lake
Older, partially renovated 3 bdrm cabin, perfect for a family getaway. However, we have several couples that enjoy having a little extra space that mention the 'cozy factor', so it's great for two as well. The cabin is available for month-to-month rentals during the winter months until May for 2 people. Negotiable for 4 people. Perfect for those traveling on work assignments. It's about 25 minutes to the hospitals in Tahlequah (14 miles), and 45 minutes (36 miles) to the hospital in Muskogee. It's probably a little far for someone on call for emergencies. The one-level cabin has had various additions over the years, so it has a bit of a quirky look to it. However, it has knotty pine interior, lots of windows as well as french doors, and you feel like you are on top of the world when looking out over the lake and hills. It has the appearance of a mobile home from the outside, but actually it isn't. It has the feel of a traditional lake cottage. There is nothing fancy about it. The living room has a leather sectional and large older TV with Dish Network and DVD/BlueRay with hookups for most gaming systems using the old fashioned connections (analog). There are two smaller TVs that have HDMI hookups. There are puzzles, games, and a few movies. French doors open to the back deck and backyard with firepit. There is a beautiful cedar dining table for 6 in the open floor plan, and a wood stove insert with glass doors. Wood is provided. There is a reading chair in the corner by the woodstove. The spacious Master Bedroom has a king-sized log bed and new memory foam mattress. It also has several windows and french doors that open out to the deck. There is a comfy old (kinda ugly) chair for relaxing and a 32 inch flat screen TV with DVD/Blue Ray in an entertainment center. No Dish service in this room. The 'Shabby Chic' bedroom has a new queen mattress and is decorated in a vintage theme. It faces the front of the house. The 'Kids' Room' is a renovated sunroom with two twin beds with memory foam toppers, lots of windows to view the lake, and french doors that open to the front deck. There is a TV, Wii, and Playstation 2 with a few games and toys. Younger children are welcome but there are many small objects that might pose a choking hazard, such as Legos. The beds will sleep adults under 6 feet tall. The kitchen is small with newer appliances and the common cooking utensils/pans. It's a one-person kitchen. The cabinets are simple and older. Coffee, tea, and creamer are provided along with a few spices. One small bathroom with tub/shower. Linens for indoor use are provided. Please bring beach towels and lawn blankets. The laundry room is at the end of the house with a separate outside entrance. Laundry soap is provided. There is a large deck in the front of the property (non-lake side) with BBQ and dining table. There is a propane grill. Propane is provided. There are two circular driveways, with plenty of room for boat parking. We have a strict no-pet policy. Smoking is permitted outside away from open windows. We also have 'The Little Cabin' for rent next door, perfect for 2. There is another fire pit between the properties as well. Although the two cabins are not wheelchair accessible, they are both on one level and are fairly easy to access for those with a few physical challenges. We have a shower chair available upon request. We've had several people ask about having weddings on the property, but unfortunately we aren't able to handle large gatherings. Our insurance has restrictions, and we don't have the bathroom facilities. We structured our pricing to make it cheaper when fewer than 6 stay. Our biggest costs are for cleaning and linens. The only way we can keep our costs down is to charge more for a full house. We also time our cleaning around the expected number of beds to change for both cabins, and last minute surprises are expensive and delay turn-around. Please help us so we can try to keep our costs as low as possible by booking for the correct number of guests. There seems to be a glitch in the homeaway/vrbo notification system so we are not getting all reservation requests when they are booked. We do get Inquiries via text so maybe do an Inquiry first and then go ahead and book. If you don't hear from us in a few hours then text because we probably didn't see the request. Don't call as there are too many telemarketers. Other owners are having the same trouble.

Cabin (600 sq. ft.) in Park Hill, OK
18.3 miles from Fort Gibson Lake
Enjoy gorgeous views of Lake Tenkiller from this cozy one-room cabin perched on top of Pettit Mountain in NE Oklahoma. This 600 sq. ft. cabin offers everything you’ll need for a relaxing get-away. There is a log-queen bed, full bath, a comfy sofa in front of a rock fireplace with a woodstove insert, and a 37 inch flat-screen TV with DVD/blue-ray player and Dish satellite. The kitchenette has a small stove/oven, granite counter tops, fridge, and microwave. The dining table sits by the large picture window overlooking the lake and forest. The covered back porch has cedar-log rocking chairs and you can feel the breezes coming off of the lake. All bedding and linens are provided. The “Little Cabin” is really designed only for 2 people. A small child might be OK on the sofa or air mattress, but at this point, we don’t know how much water the septic system can hold. We still have landscaping to finish up, but the surrounding scenery more than makes up for it. Boat parking available. Only minutes to the Pettit Bay Campground and Marina. We have a larger cabin next door that has even more spectacular views of the lake and hills. “The Big Cabin” has 3 bedrooms and sleeps 6. Our goal for both cabins is to provide a comfortable, cozy place where our guests feel at home and have a chance to get away from it all without spending a fortune. There seems to be a glitch in the homeaway/vrbo notification system so we are not getting all reservation requests when they are booked. We do get Inquiries via text so maybe do an Inquiry first and then go ahead and book. If you don't hear from us in a few hours then text because we probably didn't see the request. Don't call because too many telemarketers are calling. Other owners are having the same trouble. Also, consider the insurance to cover last minute cancellations.
